Twenty years of tournaments, a 300 m² venue with 16 tables, a French champions team title and a community of more than 2,700 followers on Facebook: the Poitiers Poker Club (PPC) is one of the most active poker clubs in western France. Cartes Production is proud to be its equipment partner, supplying the club with custom chips, playing cards and tournament equipment at preferential prices. Here is a closer look at a club that plays all year round.

A new visual identity for the 2026/2027 season

At the start of the 2026 season, the PPC board approved a new logo, the result of two months of work. It brings together the elements that make up the club's history:

  • the dragon, the emblem of Poitiers associations and a nod to the club's original logo;
  • a return to the historic colours: blue, gold and red;
  • the four suits of the deck: spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs;
  • a “Poitiers Poker Club” name that can be read at a glance.

The venue: 300 m² dedicated to poker in Fontaine-le-Comte

The PPC has its own venue, fitted out for tournament poker: 16 tables, room for 160 players, a custom chip set bearing the club's name and two large screens so that the structure and blind clock can be followed from any seat. The venue opens every Friday from 7 pm to 3 am, except in summer.

Chips and cards by Cartes Production

The custom chips in the PPC's colours and the playing cards used on the club's tables are supplied by Cartes Production, as is part of the tournament equipment. The club benefits from preferential prices for this. Running 16 tables every Friday means thousands of chips being handled and decks of cards that wear out fast: a club of this size needs sturdy equipment that can be restocked quickly and stays identical from one season to the next.

On the social side, a food counter runs every Friday: homemade burgers, paninis, club sandwiches and a dish of the day, with a selection of drinks. The kind of detail that keeps people around until the final table.

2026/2027 season: 4 live championships

The club's tournament committee has built a rotating season around two “Monster” formats played over two days, which are very popular with members:

Championship Format
Monster Stack Two-day tournament, 100,000 starting stack, 25-minute levels on Day 1 and 30-minute levels on Day 2 (final 18 players). Around 9 rounds over the season.
Kill The PPCien Played on the same evening as Day 2 of the Monster Stack.
Monster Time Two-day tournament, 50,000 stack, 45-minute levels. Around 8 rounds.
Survivor Played on the same evening as Day 2 of the Monster Time, it replaces the “Roller” of the previous season.

Alongside this, members compete in online championships through Winamax's “Mon Club” area (WSOP, SH, Freeroll), and a team represents the club in the Ligue Française de Poker, which is also a Cartes Production partner.

Poitiers Poker Festival 2026: two weekends in November

After the 6-day festival held in May for the club's 20th anniversary, the PPC is doing it again with a Poitiers Poker Festival over 4 days, on the weekends of 7-8 and 14-15 November 2026, open to members and to clubs from the region:

  • a 3-day Main Event;
  • a 3-day Side Event;
  • a turbo SNG Contest on the Sunday.

Registration for the Day 1s opens on Sunday 18 October at 12 noon on the club's website. Seats go fast.

A French championship pedigree

In 2019, the PPC team won the French team championship (CNEC). A collective title that remains the club's flagship achievement, alongside the Open PPC, its annual open tournament, and the fine individual results of its players both online and live.

A team of volunteers

Like every amateur club, the PPC runs thanks to a volunteer committee and board, and to a tournament committee that designs the tournament structures. A network of local partners (Futuroscope, Cinéma CGR Fontaine-le-Comte, V and B Poitiers Sud, ERA Immobilier, DD du Pwatoo…) supports its events.

How to join the Poitiers Poker Club

Membership for the 2026/2027 season is taken out online on the club's website. Membership gives access to the Friday tournaments, the season rankings and the online championships.

Your club deserves equipment in its own name too

A chip set in the club's name, tournament playing cards, 10-player tables, mats with your logo: that is what gives a club venue the look of a real tournament room. Cartes Production has been equipping poker clubs since 2008 and offers, as it does for the Poitiers Poker Club, preferential prices for partner clubs and associations. Contact us for a quote:
